One can never be sure. . .five minutes was all I had and here is my response to this prompt.
One can never be sure. Yes, of course, one can never be sure what the next hour will bring. Our lives are so very fragile, and we are simply incapable of knowing what the future will bring. However, there is one thing one can be sure of, and this, my friends, listen… this is the Good News. We can all be sure that we are loved. We are loved dearly, tenderly, lovingly by our God. Let us rejoice in this one thing that we can be sure of.
What proof do you need? The proof is that Christ has come and redeemed us. One can therefore be very, very sure of the love of God from which nothing can separate us. Nothing, indeed, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God. So, let me start again…
One can never be sure of the next hour, the next day, the next month or the next year. But one can be sure that God is faithful and in our hours and days and monhts ahead of us, he will be there. After all, dead or alive, we belong to him. Alleluia!
